Learning outcomes
- Check, don and use SCBA safely and efficiently
- Work as part of a BA team under entry control
- Conduct search and rescue in low-visibility conditions
- Service and store breathing apparatus correctly
Entry requirements
- Minimum 16 years of age
- Certified copy of ID or passport
- Medically and physically fit for practical fire drills
- Communication in English at NQF Level 1
CertificationCertificate of competence issued by Vhutshilo Fire Academy approximately two weeks after successful assessment.
