Builds on Level 1 with advanced trauma and medical emergency management for first aiders in higher-risk workplaces such as factories, mines and construction sites.

- 1Legal duties of a workplace first aider and scene safety
- 2Primary and secondary casualty assessment
- 3Adult, child and infant CPR with AED familiarisation
- 4Choking, shock, bleeding and wound management
- 5Burns, fractures, spinal care and casualty movement
- 6Medical emergencies: seizures, diabetes, poisoning and heat illness
Learning outcomes
- Assess an emergency scene and manage bystanders safely
- Perform effective CPR and use an AED
- Treat bleeding, burns, fractures and shock
- Complete first aid records and restock the first aid box
Entry requirements
- Minimum 16 years of age
- Certified copy of ID or passport
- Able to kneel and perform compressions on a floor manikin
CertificationFirst aid certificate valid for three years, issued approximately two weeks after assessment.
